The Opportunity

Ulteig currently is seeking an exceptional Director, Human Resources and Business Services to join the highly engaged and high performing team at Ulteig. Reporting to the Chief HR Officer and serving as part of the Ulteig Leadership Team (ULT), this role will lead other leaders and their teams representing a diverse set of activities that include HR business partnership, total rewards, facilities & administration, mergers and acquisitions, and environmental, social and governance (ESG). Ulteig is a ‘people centric’ organization, and the HR and Business Services team is a highly leveraged and impactful contributor to the company’s success. What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Contributes to company and HR department strategy and ensures alignment up and down the organization.
  • Oversees strategic workforce planning efforts to ensure Ulteig has the talent and critical capabilities it needs to grow and succeed.
  • Collaboratively works with business leaders to understand challenges and opportunities; works with teams to identify and implement solutions.
  • Oversees company and departmental talent data and scorecards; identifies trends and issues and facilitates actions to make improvements and mitigate risk.
  • Leads organization design functionality and business application.
  • Serves as the HR team leader for M&A due diligence and integration activities.
  • Leads research and analysis of market, industry and organizational trends and best practices, including review of internal reports and metrics. Shares insights and ensures actions in response.
  • Represents Ulteig as a thought leader in the marketplace.
  • Ensures that Ulteig’s long-term Facilities roadmap is aligned with business needs and culturally supports the organization.
  • Develops Ulteig’s roadmap for deeper engagement in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) priorities.

Team and Process Leadership

  • Inspires team engagement through regular 1:1’s, team meetings, recognition, development conversations/plans, learning opportunities, etc.
  • Provides decision support to direct reports and others; engages with CHRO as needed.
  • Leads team initiatives as required; delegates to and empowers team members as initiative owners.
  • Manages performance through goal setting, prioritization, coaching, quarterly check-ins and annual reviews.
  • Manages and advocates for team resources.
  • Provides oversight and strategic direction to HR Client Leader team, ensuring that a framework is in place for stellar HR business partnership and effective collaboration with the broader HR team.
  • Oversees Ulteig’s Total Rewards team, ensuring that Ulteig’s compensation, benefits and wellbeing offerings are competitive and support Ulteig’s team members and overall business needs.
  • Oversees the Facilities and Administration teams (collectively known as Business Services); ensuring that our approaches are sustainable and in the best interests of Ulteig’s culture and long-term business needs.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Contributes to overall HR budget planning and forecasting processes; ensures spending is aligned with budgets.
  • Ensure that processes and information related to employee onboarding, departures and other employee processes are effectively implemented, leveraging best practices and technology.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Expect from You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related degree, OR equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of broad human resources experience, which might include HR business partnership, total rewards, talent development, organization development and talent acquisition
  • Outstanding written communication skills, with the ability to independently produce company-level employee communications
  • Exhibits a strong leadership presence, with the ability to effectively and confidently engage and communicate with colleagues at all levels
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Change management and continuous improvement focus
  • The ability to make sound and timely decisions using data, analysis and expertise
  • Is a team player and collaborator; takes the interests of others into consideration when taking action; actively builds trusting and credible relationships with stakeholders
  • Proven experience of strong partnership with business leaders
  • Preferred experience with acquisition due diligence and integration
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Compensation Range is Generally +/- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $195,500*
